It is my understanding
that psychology can heal about 60% of the
dis-ease that people carry with them into
adulthood. The remainder of the healing must
come through right action based on inner
spiritual guidance. |

Learning
to respect each other as sacred human beings and to be
in right relations with ourselves, and others, is the
foundation of my practice. This journey looks different
for each individual or family based on their point of
departure. Over the past 20 years, as well as working in
the field of Child and Family Therapy, I have had the
opportunity to study with two Cherokee Healers, Grandpa
Roberts in California in the 80’s and Will Rockingbear
since 2000. Out of gratitude to these elders I make
available to this community what they so graciously
bestow upon me.
I am an approved teacher of the
Love and Logic Parenting and
Teaching curriculum. These strategies help parents and teachers
regain authority in the home and classroom and teach children
responsibility by allowing them to learn from the age appropriate
choices they make and the consequences of those choices. These
strategies are taught individually and in a group format.
It is my understanding that psychology can heal about 60% of the
dis-ease that people carry with them into adulthood. The remainder
of the healing must come through right action based on inner
spiritual guidance. Psychological insight combined with
compassionate action from the clarity of our deep spiritual core
(the part of us that transcends our personality) offers the
opportunity to truly transform our lives. This is what the native
people call “growing corn in one’s life”. Anyone can heal anything
when they state what they want, what they are willing to do about it
and keep their word in doing so.

The first patient that I saw before a Cherokee Indian Soul
Retrieval Ceremony was very depressed and not functioning. When I
talked with her a day after the ceremony there was a significant
difference: She was much less depressed and could function better.
She could tell me the parts of herself split off and what she needed
to do to have them remain with her. In an hour she had discovered
what can take years to determine in traditional talk therapy. Her
therapy then focused on how she would do the things that she had
agreed to do. It took about 6 months for her to complete therapy and
be off medication.
I find that patients who participate in a ceremony early in
treatment proceed to heal in about 6 -12 months. Those who have been
in therapy for a long time and then participate in a ceremony find
that they need very little therapy after that, perhaps a month. My
patients found this Soul Retrieval ceremony created deep and lasting
changes in
themselves that they did not get from other methods.

Soul Retrieval
This ceremony is performed by most indigenous cultures whenever
illness or trauma (physical, emotional, spiritual) occur to retrieve
lost or stolen pieces of the soul. Some signs of soul loss are:
feeling like part of you is missing, feeling lost, enduring sadness
and/or anger, feeling disconnected, the loss of skills or “know how”
that you once had. .

Cutting Ceremony
Have you ever asked yourself, “Whose thought was that?” and found
out it was someone else’s? We can be under the influence of
another’s energy (in the physical or spirit world) and need
assistance cutting those chords that drain our energy and impact our
lives negatively. Once cut we can restore balance and increase our
personal power.

Fire Ceremony
In this ceremony we work with the fire to release old beliefs,
patterns, relationships, self- concepts or other things that impede
our growth and forward movement. Once free of these self-imposed
limitations we can consciously choose our beliefs and behaviors
taking 100% responsibility for our choices. In this way our lives
can “grow corn” and we can observe ourselves living our dreams.

House Clearings and Blessings
Often souls stuck in the earth plane stay in places
familiar to them and disrupt the lives of the
inhabitants of that space. We can assist these beings to
crossover with their “lights” and clear the space in
question. Ceremonies to bless a new home,
business, relationship, or transition or to connect with
the benevolent spirits of the land in question
are available.
